This 86-year-old woman, right here, is #travelgoals. She’s been to 87 countries, is part of a SuperAging study (read more about it in the article) at Northwestern University, works as a substitute teacher, and not surprisingly, is planning more travels. Nothing like an inspirational story to get you motivated for the future! June Scott, who’s featured in this story by Condé Nast Traveler, is just as adorable as her picture. And she’s got some wise words to share about traveling and life in general. I also hadn’t heard of the term ‘SuperAgers’ before, so I enjoyed learning about the studies that are currently being done with the effects of aging the brain.
Two of my favorite quotes from the article:
“It’s no secret that sociability is a trait that proves to be a crucial part of growing old.”
“Scott will tell you that her travels keep her youthful. ‘I’m a curious person,’ she says. ‘I want to be a lifelong learner, and to me, travel makes life so much more interesting.’”
