Three Local South Florida Ice Cream Shops to Try Now

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream. It’s basically a fact of life. Hot day outside – eat some ice cream. Got a bad grade on your biology exam? Eat some ice cream. Got a good grade on your biology exam? Eat some ice cream. There’s really never a wrong time for ice cream. I would even say it’s acceptable for breakfast, but that’s just my humble opinion.

As a self-proclaimed-obsessive- ice cream-consumer, I’ve searched south Florida for some of the best local ice cream shops. Why not have smooth, creamy, delicious ice cream while also supporting local businesses? It’s a win-win. Here are some of the best local ice cream shops in sunny south Florida.  Continue reading “Three Local South Florida Ice Cream Shops to Try Now”

How to Travel and Exercise

You’ve done it before…more than once. You eye an ice cream shop while you’re walking the streets of a new town. You do some advance research and find numerous articles on the “10 best bakeries/donut shops/macaroon shops in ____.” These places all sound soooooo delicious. And why not try them all since you know you won’t have anything like them back home?? Ultimate Guide to Santa Barbara, California

Teeming with squawking seagulls, salty air, and friendly locals, Santa Barbara is a lively town full of history and stunning architecture, yet far enough outside of Los Angeles to create a relaxing and slower paced atmosphere. I only had about a day and a half to spend in this coastal town, but that was more than enough time to make me fall in love.

Starting Spring at Florida’s Alexander Springs

The other week I ventured up to central Florida to visit some friends and go swimming at one of the natural springs in the area. I’d never been to the springs before, so I was super excited and not all sure of what to expect. I thought the water would be cold (I was right) and clearer than the ocean (which definitely helped the GoPro pics come out better). Continue reading “Starting Spring at Florida’s Alexander Springs”

Living a Minimalist Life

Took a nap today (which is significant because I can never take naps), and that made me wide awake and got me thinking, so I wrote a quick post about minimalism…

I watched yet another TED talk (I really like these talks because they are short, cover a wide range of topics, and can be pretty informative. I even watch some that I think I may disagree with –  just to hear different perspectives on issues/ideas etc.). Continue reading “Living a Minimalist Life”
