I recently read this article on photographing people while traveling that I think is extremely relevant in today’s photo-and-social-media-obsessed world. We’re getting used to taking pictures anywhere, and even when being sensitive to the privacy concerns, it’s hard not to get other people in your photos when you’re at popular tourist sites like the Eiffel Tower or Taj Mahal. But when you’re traveling and come across a person/persons that you’d love to capture an image of, what’s the most respectful way to proceed? The Road to Leh, India
Reaching elevations of 13,000 and 17,480 feet, the two-day bus ride from Manali to Leh (Ladakh), India is not for the faint of heart. Not knowing much about Leh (or where it was exactly), I joined my friends on a standard yet seemingly ill-equipped-for-mountainous-terrain public bus while battling one of the worst mysterious travel illnesses I have ever had (more on that another day – the memory is still to painful). Though the Himalayan mountain views were some of the most stunning views I’ve ever witnessed, I was pretty certain we would slide off the road at some point… Continue reading “The Road to Leh, India”
15 Pictures to Inspire You This Fall
One of the downsides to living in South Florida? The lack of fall. If there’s any sign of “fall,” it usually means a palm frond has fallen from a tree. Not the stuff that makes you think of sweaters, pumpkin-flavored everything, and typical fall activities amongst a backdrop of colorful-leaved trees. Pennsylvania, on the other hand, has amazing, beautiful autumn seasons – and I can vouch for this state because I lived there for four years. Click the link to see some pictures that may make you wish to be immediately transported to a countryside pumpkin patch… Continue reading “15 Pictures to Inspire You This Fall”
13 Things To Do In Santorini, Greece
Getting here was the only bad part of Greece. Oh… and almost dying on an ATV I guess. Thira is a tricky island to get to. You either ferry or fly from Athens, Greece. We choose the ferry which happened to go on strike for the first time in 10 years. Needless to say, we choose the wrong transportation on that day. After some tears and a very expensive flight we were on our way to…

13 Things To Do In Marrakesh, Morocco
This was one of my favorite destinations, although I wish we could have spent a month here instead of just five days. This place was so different than any of the others I had been to!

Why You Should Travel With Friends
When it comes to traveling, there are pretty much only two options – traveling solo, or traveling with friends. Though there are definitely great benefits to both, some people naturally fit better in one of the two categories. I recently saw the amazing opportunities that solo traveling brings when I was in Costa Rica for the month of January (I’ll be detailing more of what it’s like to solo travel in a following post!), but I’ll always be up for a group trip with friends. Keep reading to find out why YOU should go traveling with your friends… Continue reading “Why You Should Travel With Friends”
Starting Spring at Florida’s Alexander Springs
The other week I ventured up to central Florida to visit some friends and go swimming at one of the natural springs in the area. I’d never been to the springs before, so I was super excited and not all sure of what to expect. I thought the water would be cold (I was right) and clearer than the ocean (which definitely helped the GoPro pics come out better). Continue reading “Starting Spring at Florida’s Alexander Springs”
