Over the course of your life you’ve probably seen countless pictures of this city and watched numerous movies showing life here, but there’s really nothing like exploring this huge and wonderfully chaotic city in person. And I believe becoming bored isn’t possible here – there’s always a new play to see, restaurant to try, or event to go to. So here’s a guide to seeing parts of New York City in a weekend. Yep, even just three days here can be one of the most amazing experiences! Continue reading “New York City Weekend Guide “
If I had to sum up my opinion of Nosara in two words, it would be: SIMPLY AMAZING. Nosara, a town in the Nicoya Peninsula and the Guanacaste region of Costa Rica, is beachy and relaxed, yet energetic and adventurous. A perfect example of pura vida (pure life). I recently read an article in the summer issue of Disfunkshion Magazine that talked about gratitude- why we need it along with some tips for living with gratitude. This article really resonated me and immediately I began writing in my journal – which was one of the tips –” keep a gratitude journal and end each day by taking note of three to five encounters you were appreciative for, that way you are able to go back and reconnect with those thankful feelings later on in life.” Continue reading “Living With Gratitude- Day after Day”
Just thought I’d share with you all a link to view a Q&A interview I did with Rebekah Steen, creator of Goldfish Kiss blog. She’s a total beach babe who takes awesome pictures, provides some pretty relevant advice, and has such cute DIY projects (I’ve made her repurposed tee “rope” bracelets and I’m eagerly wanting to recreate some of her mani/pedi designs). Rebekah’s blog is one of the first blogs I came across, and was really influential in why I wanted to create a blog as well! So it was pretty surreal to get to interview her! And she’s so down-to-earth and full of happiness…which is totally visible through her blog and Instagram.
I’m a contributing blogger for indieSWIM, a swimwear company based in South Florida, so my interview with Rebekah is posted on the indieBLOG. Click here to give it a read and let me know what you think! And I have a few other posts on the indieBLOG, such as a smoothie bowl recipe and some advice pieces for your perusal as well. Feel free to let me know of any ideas or suggestions for potential future posts you would like to see on the indieBLOG page.
Every holiday we look forward to the abundance of different themes and delightful treats that come. Some stores start preparing months or weeks in advance before days like Thanksgiving or Christmas. Brightly colored candy, cookies, and gifts line row after row of the shelves. Valentine’s Day is no exception, as there are over thousands of candy and chocolate products sold leading up to this holiday. If you find yourself tired of the same old chocolate candy piece or heart-shaped sugar cookie then it may be time for a change this Valentine’s Day. Why not break the routine and hone your fancy cupcake baking skills while also making a dessert that will cause your friends to scratch their heads wondering just how you managed to make it.
