Where to Eat in Cambridge, MA
Cambridge has the best of both worlds: less noise and overwhelming sense of confusion than its larger neighbor cities, such as Boston (which is 3 miles away, easily accessible by train) may have. There’s an old, colonial feel with the beautiful red brick buildings and cobblestoned sidewalks. Not to mention the presence of Harvard, which draws hundreds of young people (and their families who come to tour in large groups) throughout the year.
I’ve been to Cambridge several times, and each time there’s some place new to be discovered, a new coffee/tea/ice cream/dessert/meal to try, and old favorites to return to. Here are some places you need to try in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Continue reading “Where to Eat in Cambridge, MA”
3 Recipes to Try Now
When you’re in a rush, it can be tempting to choose the closest pre-made packaged food within an arm’s length. Our busy lives often cause us to place our health way down on our list of daily priorities. However, eating healthy can be easy….and quick. In my experience, it’s all about finding foods that I love to eat (such as specific fruits/veggies/grains, etc.) and searching for recipes or more often than not, just creating my own recipes with the foods I have at home. The following recipes I usually make for breakfast, but they are so versatile that they make a great snack or evening dessert. Continue reading “3 Recipes to Try Now”
Living With Gratitude- Day after Day
I recently read an article in the summer issue of Disfunkshion Magazine that talked about gratitude- why we need it along with some tips for living with gratitude. This article really resonated me and immediately I began writing in my journal – which was one of the tips –” keep a gratitude journal and end each day by taking note of three to five encounters you were appreciative for, that way you are able to go back and reconnect with those thankful feelings later on in life.” Continue reading “Living With Gratitude- Day after Day”

Hot Yoga- My First Class and Some Tips for Beginners

Yesterday I participated in a hot yoga class for the first time. I was excited yet nervous. The fact that I would be attempting to do yoga in an approximately 100+ degree room was somewhat terrifying. What if I overheated and died? Yes, that was a valid question to me. What if the heat was too much for me and I could barely do the yoga poses? What if I looked stupid?
